I spent a lovely morning amongst the trees on a hill overlooking a lake at the Montessori School. There were some great artists in Years 4, 5 and 6. Here are a few of their characters named: Bob, Buddy and Goat Dude.

After lunch and a drive along the coast, I spoke at Quinn’s Baptist. Many students had read the Poppy Books. It is always a pleasure to speak with students who have read your books.

I was also presented with a lovely gift – ‘Travels with My Sketchbook’ by Chris Riddell who was UK Children’s Laureate from 2015-2017. I’ve loved his work for many years.
