WA Book Week – Day 1

This week, I travelled to Western Australia to spend Book Week in Perth, Kalgoorlie and Albany.

My first day of Book Week was a tiring but extra rewarding one, where I visited two great schools in Perth – Providence Christian College and Carey Baptist College. I was blown away by the diversity of the questions asked during my time there. I like questions that make me pause and think about my answer.

In the early evening, I gave a talk at the State Library of WA – organised by the Library and Westbooks Burswood. It was so good to catch up with friends who I hadn’t seen in ages. I love the WA bunch. Thank you to library staff Trish and Kate for going out of their way to find a box for me to stand on so that I could be seen behind the lectern LOL! Before heading back to my apartment in Fremantle, I was interviewed on Indira Naidoo’s show.

A busy and fun-filled first day. Thank you to Wendy Candy from AISWA for looking after me.
