New Library At Strathtulloh Primary School

I was honoured to officially open the gorgeous new library at the brand new Strathtulloh Primary School in Victoria. With the help from local businesses and grant funding through the Australian Children’s Laureate Foundation, the school was able to fill the library with hand-picked books from Readings. I hope this wonderful new space inspires children to read, write and imagine stories.

Here I am helping to cut the ribbon.

The young library committee had been working so hard cataloguing and covering the books in readiness for the grand opening.

There is a lovely display that greeted us. It featured information and books about each of the 7 Australian Children’s Laureates – Alison Lester, Boori Monty Pryor, Jackie French, Leigh Hobbs, Morris Gleitzman, Ursula Dubosarsky and myself. I was so impressed by this school, the students and the staff. It was wonderful to visit such a progressive school and welcome the birth of a new library.
