Morocco is a land full of surprises. From the beaches of Essaouira to the lofty Atlas Mountains, its scenery is constantly changing. I love how the buildings are constructed from the surrounding land so that when a village is too old to inhabit and more dwellings are built on the outside, the old town is left to crumble, to be turned back to the earth. Even in a fairly big city like Marrekech, the buildings are all a uniform dusky pink which goes perfectly with the beautiful tiles. Nothing jars. The colours are vivid and bold and so pleasing to the eye.
